Sunday Stash #4 - Indian Silk and Brocade

Hello and happy Sunday!

Welcome to another Sunday Stash Post. This week it's about Indian silk.
Indian fabrics are rich in colors and not to mention the variety of prints and design. Be it cotton or silk or other woven fabrics. Let's take a look!

Cotton Silk brocade with small golder flower in matte gold
Brocade is still considered as one of luxury fabrics. In India, most often seen in Sarees or party salwar kameez or lehenga.

Besides, bags and handbags made of silk brocade become very popular. The stunning fabrics need no complicated design. Even a simple evening clutch will look stunning if made using these silk fabrics.

Many Indian designers also made a matching evening clutch and shoes using these silk brocade.

Sunday Stash #7 - Indian cotton fabric mini bundles

Red White Fat Quarter Bundle

Sunday stash today is about mini pack. I decided to introduce mini bundle because I feel smaller pack will give you more freedom to choose the matching bundle.

Blue Green Fat Quarter Bundle
The fat quarter bundles have  mix prints and colors. Indian fabrics are rich is color palette. Sometimes, I could not find the matching name for it. And at times the color changes on different lighting.

Green Orange Fat Quarter Bundle
Classic florals and geometrics are always popular in India. You will find the same pattern every year but maybe in a different color or shades.

Yellow Blue Fat Quarter Bundle

But some of the prints, mostly the digital prints don't always come out again. Like the blue with big florals above or the lotus print or the polkadots.

Handloom Ikat Fat Quarter Bundle of 3

Mudcloth Floral and Paisley Fat Quarter Bundle - Indian block print cotton fabric
Mudcloth Fabric Bundle
And of course the mudcloth is always a favorite. More daboo or mudcloth bundles will be available soon in both my Etsy and Webshop (for fabric shopping in India).

Many people sometimes asked me what to do with the pre cut bundle? Well, I do make small quilt with Indian fabrics like this one I am currently doing.

Here some ideas for you. Follow the link to check them out :

More fabric bundles will be regularly added (as time permits). But  you can always contact me in Instagram or Facebook Page to get customized bundle.

I hope you have a relaxing Sunday.
Have a wonderful week ahead!

Sunday Stash 13 - New Instagram

I hope you are having a relaxing Sunday. My Sunday started with a visit to the doctor to consult about my allergy. Last Sunday we went and he told me to be a vegetarian for a week. Well, I did , except one day when I went to visit DH's aunt and I gobbled paratha and chicken korma. Changing is tough! ^_^. The good news is everything is OK {Alhamdulillah} and with the meds , hopefully I will be fine in a month {Insha Allah}.

What about this new instagram? I mentioned in my previous post about @chezviesfabs

The idea was to make it easier for me and my customers to see what fabric options they have when they want to order wallets and bags. All this time, I have an album set up in my google photos, but since everyone is on Instagram, I think this will be a better platform.

I already uploaded a couple of fabrics and will keep on updating it everyday. All in the information regarding the fabric is written under each photo.

I also added polka dots and stripes, as I love to use them as accent and binding.

I hope this way, it is easier for the buyers to see and they can also mix and match the fabrics themselves.

If you're on instagram please check it out and say hello @chezviesfabs. If you'd like to see the behind the scene, you can check @chezvies and the shop is @chezvies_shop.

Thank you for stopping by.
Happy Sunday!
