In this tutorial, I use simple zipper with tab. There are several method on how you install zipper in pouch and bags. I will try to post few mini tutorial on those methods.

FAQ : 1. What interfacing do you use? Interfacing depends on how you want on the look that you want. It totally depends on you. I love a soft pouches. I normally use fusible interfacing and flannel or fleece batting (that's a substitute for fusible fleece). For a stiffer pouch, I use canvas interfacing.
2. Batting As I mentioned, I usually use flannel for quilted pouch or bag. Flannel give a good structure and enough softness. I use fleece or cotton batting for gadget cases. Sometimes, I use foam but I hate working with foam frown emoticon
3. How to reduce the bulk? Always cut your batting 1/2" smaller than the main and lining fabric. If you use a thicker interfacing, cut the interfacing 1/2" less than then main and lining fa…

Another UFO completed

I need to stock up more mini quilts, I told DH the other day. I have few mini quilt top ready to quilt but always get distracted by so many other things. Sometimes I wish I had 5 pair of hands :D
I am not feeling too well since Saturday but my mind and hand need to keep doing something. Since I have completed the quilting and attach the binding last Friday, I only need to hand stitch the binding. So, instead of whining away, I put on my my fave drama and sewing away.

you know, not everyday I get  a matching backing fabric and I was ecstatic when I saw this green n orange cotton.

Well, I've been playing with this pinwheel for awhile {last November or December} and just could not decide the backing. I think the saying it's true "everything happen at it's own time and place" ^_^
It's a good feeling to complete something!
