The the Yo Yo continues

I love spending time chatting on YM and sharing pictures with my friends...my crafty friends. On my "sewing withdrawal" days, these little chit chat can really boost my spirit.

Yesterday was one of those days. A friend of mine, showed me her latest bag she made. With pretty yoyos to decorate the bag. So, after the kiddos got to nap, I got down to work and within one hour (including time spent for rummaging my fabric stash!!) here is the Stress Buster Library Bag

And my boys are into pancake days, recently...They can have it for breakfast or even on evening tea time...^_^...thay say I made the best pancake in the world..and I feel on top of the world .

Thanks for looking & happy crating

Still Addicted ^_*

I went to my fave fabric shop and saw this pretty orange mangoe color. I just couldn't help my self . Since, I'm still very much into making Coasters, so I made another orange set.

Beside that, me n my 'stitch n bitch" friends have been discussing about yo-yo..You will marvel at how people creative people around the world can be with these humble YOYO. One of my fave is this one by SEKAR. She's the one who actually sort of inspired me.

And you have to check this lovely blog : POLKADOT PINEAPPLE, Arlette is very generous is sharing her tutorial. I especially love her YOYO QUILT.

And Here's More

These I made for my dear friends...I hope they like it and I'm really fortunate to find such a good souls in this foreign land. What I love most about them is their positive attitude....laugh and laugh out loud a lot...I mean, even though we haven't phisically met, but we speak (almost) constantly on YM, Phone or SMS....Internet really make a big bad world become a little lovely place where we can share our ideas, lifting up each other spirit...showing off our not-so-perfect projects through video conferences....oh yeah..I certainly can't live without internet...^_^. So, girls...this is for you...:

Polkadots Red Coasters & matching Tray Cloth
I put 3 little yoyo flowers on the tray cloth

Blue Dominos
The polkadots fabric remind me of dominos card. I tried using patchwork here, even though it's not perfect but it's quite addictive to make patchwork. For embellishment, I put graadtion blue crochet lace and decorative stitches around the edges.

Let's play dominos

Can't get enough: Coasters

I can't get enough of making this coasters...it's simply addictive :). I saw the tutorial at AllSorts few months back and planned to make one someday. That someday came 2 days ago when I sort of cleaning my trunk and found scrap of fabrics hidden there. This is really an easy stress buster..U know after few tasking sewing projects doing something fun like this is really great....and what do you think??

Thanks for stopping by....have a nice crafty days

What's new?

These are collections of what I have done and few more are coming. Some of them will be available shortly in the Shop....:)
I guess I like this collage in Picasa, maybe I'm a late comer in using this features, but it really great way to post few pictures in one frame...:)

The Notebook sleeves

I've been wanted to make one. When I saw this stripy handwoven cotton I know it's going to make a good laptop sleeves, so here it is. Lightly padded with sponge & lined with soft cotton.

The POUCHES come in PINK & Emerald.
The pink one is made of handwoven cotton. I sort of have this imagination that it will be make a good mobile pouch and all. But somehow I'm not too satisfied with the result...but no idea what was wrong with it.

The EMERALD ones are my favorite. I have these 2 fabrics for a long time. I even listed in my supply shop and sold one batch of fat quarters. The rest I just thought I'll use it up. both the fabric is cotton silk. I embelished with matte golden lace. What do you think?

The TUNICs

I've been taking quite few custom order @ chez vies recently and it's fun...:) And since dress tunic is quite in fashion now in India, so I made several. Check out more of the tunics @ the shop

Thanks for stopping by....till then...have a nice crafty days ^_^

Holiday

Summer holidays has come and gone..now everything is back to routine..morning hectic with the boys school, school's projects & homeworks, etc. Somehow I like this routine.

We went holidaying last month. Just the 4 of us, we went to the Andaman & Nicobar islands. We were looking for holiday destination which is not too far, not too crowded and children friendly. Port Blair on the whole is perfect. We had lots of fun. What I love best is it's natural beauty & the sea. Whereever you go, you get the glimpse of the sea, each corner has a different views.
It surely worth the second visit....there are still loots of place to visit there....
