{TUTORIAL} Adding Zipper Pocket

Hello,
The last two days was euphoria for me. It's the first time I got published in an online media and that too on Ecwid Blog! I was contacted by them by email early this month and was so excited about it. You can read my Behind the Scene Story in Ecwid Blog. I hope I can inspire more mothers who decided to left 9 to 5 job and pursue her dreams.

Now let's get down to the fun stuff. I got email from Patti, asking about how to add zipper pocket on the Phone Pouch. Thank you so much Patti!! Adding zipper pouch is very easy. If you already got the pattern  here is what you have to do. (if you haven't,  you can get it at the end of this post)

After you cut all your Exterior, Lining and Interfacing pieces as per pattern instructions, cut 2 extra lining pieces of Main Panel.

1. Fuse the interfacing on to the wrong side of the back exterior piece. Mark 1.5" down on one of the short end and cut.

Do the same with one of the lining piece.

2. Put the lining and exterior pieces…

9 Words Women Use

*** Dari MILIS tetangga....I find this very amusing..:D(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up. (2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house. (3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It! (5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.) (6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long…

What I Made Today

Last week, in the exhibition one of my Uncle's friend came and ask if I can make a dress of her 2,5 years old DD. So, I made this today, and add a dupatta (stole) for her since nowadays she like to dress up like her mother (she always wears salwar kameez). Unfortunately, no one make "salwar kameez" for 2 years old. Well, this is not actually a "salwar" but she said that will do for her DD. *mental note: learn to make salwar :D*So, today, I made this pair for the little girl..she wants something in PINK..:). It's very simple one. I got the Tute for the peasant top from Vegbee. She has the coolest Tutorial in her blog, btw..:D *thanks Vegbee*The detail: That's all for today....I have several projects in mind, hopefully will get them done before November. My sons singing to me while I was writing this:In the morning, in the morning..we say good morningIn the afternoon, in the afternoon,..we say good afternoonIn the evening, in the evening...we say good eve…

Hasil Pameran Perdana

I'm officially back after my first ever exihibtion here . Well, it was a hectic week and the exhibition was extended for 1 day. In the beginning I really don't know what to expect. I keep varieties of stuff, from my handmade clothes/bags/pouches to Batik & Jilbab (itung-itung mempopulerkan jilbab disini..:D)Anyway, it went off well and I got quite good response and even custom order..(YAY!!), some even asked to be informed when I have my next exhibition. InshaAllah, I will have my next exhibition on November, December and March 2009. What I learnt from my fellow sellers are:1. Most of them are homemakers who's doing their business from home. I met one lady, she must be over 60 years old. Her stall was opposite mine. She's selling Mekhala Chadar (Assamese Traditional Dress). She has her own boutique, she drives around her self (in this part of India this is something commendable!!). she teaches village girls to do embroidery and other needleworks. She's doing a…

Well, sebetulnya si anaknya yg harus bikin, tp karena udah malem & they will make a mess instead of making the card, jadi emaknya yg ngebut bikin kartu ha ha ha....setelah bongkar-bongkar "our …
